Watch Shakey Graves & Jess Williamson Cover Daniel Johnston At Longhorn Caverns

Austin, Texas non-commercial radio station KUTX recently shared video of Shakey Graves, Jess Williamson and more covering Austin legend Daniel Johnston’s “True Love Will Find You In The End.” The performance was captured with the aid of the natural acoustics of Longhorn Caverns in the Texas State Park of the same name.

The video comes as part of a joint project between the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation, “KUTX favorite” Walker Lukens and several musicians to produce Texas Wild, “a collection of iconic Texas tunes performed by some of the Lone Star’s finest to commemorate [the] hundred-year legacy of astonishing state parks.”

Shakey Graves (Alejandro Rose Garcia) and Jess Williamson contributed a cover of Johnston’s “True Love Will Find You In The End” to Texas Wild. They teamed up with KUTX, Austin’s The Bright Light Social Hour — guitarist Curtis Roush, bassist Jackie O’Brian; keyboardist Mia Carruthers, drummer Zac Catanzaro and percussionist Juan Alfredo Rios Rodriguez — pedal steel player Zach Wiggs, vocalist Tricky Jones and Lukens fittingly on a Danelectro Longhorn bass to capture the performance of “True Love Will Find You In The End” at Longhorn Cavern State Park near Burnet, Texas
