Shaggy and Sting joined forces to honor Sound System culture with their joint new single “Til A Mawin.” The track, issued by Shaggy’s Ranch Entertainment and longrunning reggae/dancehall label VP Records, interpolates the classic “I’m Not Getting Crazy” reggae riddim.

Shaggy, Sting and Henry “Junjo” Lawes co-wrote “Til A Mawnin,” which was produced by Shaggy and Shane Hoosong. Lawes produced the Roots Radics Band’s original recording of “I’m Not Getting Crazy.” The riddim is also the basis for the reggae staples “Getting Married” by Yellowman, “I’m Not Crazy” by Don Carlos and “Worries in the Dance” by Frankie Paul.

Jamaica’s Sound System culture is celebrated through “Til A Mawin” and its accompanying video directed by Jay Will. Watch the visual below:

Sting and Shaggy will co-headline the Reggae Rise Up Festival on March 13 in St. Petersburg, Florida. View both performers’ tour itineraries below.
