Shaboozey served as the musical guest on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The artist born Chibueze Collins Obinna performed the supremely catchy “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” backed by a full band at a bar-themed set.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is featured on Shaboozey’s recently released third solo album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. Shaboozey has seen the song, which interpolates portions of J-Kwon’s 2004 single “Tipsy,” reach the #3 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and top the Hot Country Songs chart.

The Virgina-based musician is having a breakthrough year thanks to the success of “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and his contributions to two songs featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album. “On Jimmy Fallon tonight, I’m nervous. Wish me luck,” Shaboozey wrote on X before his appearance on the NBC late-night television show.

Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going arrived on May 31 via American Dogwood and Empire Distribution. The 12-track follow-up to 2022’s Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die includes guest appearances by Paul Cauthen, Noah Cyrus and BigXthaPlug.

Shaboozey delivered “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” with passion and swerve. The audience at 30 Rock clapped along and helped sing the catchy chorus.
