Bob Weir & Wolf Bros, Oteil Burbridge, Black Pumas & More Aboard For Backline ‘Set Break’ Livestream Benefit Special

, Oteil Burbridge, Black Pumas, Alanis Morissette, Leon Bridges, Lake Street Dive and Dawes are among the acts contributing performances to “Set Break,” a livestream event presented by Backline. “Set Break” airs on Twitch via The Relix Channel Saturday, April 10 at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.

The fundraiser to support mental health in the music industry will include a mix of musical performances, PSAs from music industry veterans and immersive wellness experiences. “Set Break” aims to break the stigma surrounding mental health issues in the community. Proceeds will help Backline expand its services and programs during these turbulent times. Additionally, a portion of the money raised will go towards Crew Nation and Sweet Relief’s Mental Health Fund.

Ben Folds, Galactic, Larkin Poe, Los Lobos, Michael Franti, Sara Kays, Sara Bareilles, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Tim Reynolds, Langhorne Slim, Anders Osborne, David Shaw, Eric Krasno and Nicki Bluhm & Nicole Atkins are more of the performers participating in “Set Break.” Look for special appearances from Portugal. The Man, K. Flay, Miguel Chen and Marc Brownstein as well as team members from Tour Research Health Initiative, the Black Mental Health Alliance and others.

“‘Set Break’ will demonstrate the music industry’s resilience, more than a year after the pandemic devastated our livelihoods,” noted Backline’s Executive Director Hilary Gleason. “Backline has provided a safe place to land for industry workers during this time, and the event will bring together fans, artists, and organizations who all believe in the cause and want to create a safer and more supported environment for music to thrive.”
