‘Saturday Night Live’ Taps Jack White As Musical Guest

Jack White will appear as the musical guest on tomorrow’s episode of Saturday Night Live. The show’s executive producer, Lorne Michaels, revealed the replacement for Morgan Wallen during an appearance on Today this morning.

Wallen was removed from the spot after video surfaced showing the country star at a party without a mask in violation of COVID-19 safety protocols. Morgan issued an apology via Instagram for his actions and noted he respected Lorne’s decision.

Jack White may not be the only musical guest on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live. “There could be some other stuff,” Michaels told Willie Geist in an interview that aired on Today. Lorne explained, “calling somebody on a Thursday to be here for Friday is complicated, it’s gotta be people that are ready to go.” Geist noted Michaels was “still working on a couple of other big names that may show up tomorrow night,” while discussing the situation with the other Today hosts.
