Saturday Night Live returned to the airwaves last night with a new at-home format. The legendary sketch show paid tribute to one of their own, beloved music producer Hal Wilner, who died recently at 64 due to complications from COVID-19.
Both current and past cast members honored the longtime SNL music producer with memories as well as a song, fittingly, Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day.” Along with his SNL duties, Wilner also produced records by the legendary Velvet Underground frontman.
