Santana shared “Yo Me Lo Merezco” featuring Spanish vocalist Buika. The single appears on the new Santana album Africa Speaks, which was produced by Rick Rubin and comes out June 7 on Concord Records.
Recorded over 10 days at Rubin’s Shangri La Studios in Malibu, California, Africa Speaks features an eight-piece Santana lineup that includes drummer Cindy Blackman Santana. Santana previously shared the lead single “Los Invisibles” also featuring Buika.
“All of the songs have a coliseum essence to them,” guitarist Carlos Santana stated. “Whether it’s ‘We Will Rock You’ or Start Me Up,’ there’s certain songs that do that.”
