Santana & Doobie Brothers ‘Get Together’ In Cincinnati

The Doobie Brothers recently hit the road with Santana to kick off their joint Oneness Tour 2026. Last night, the two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame acts shared the stage together for the first time in seven years during the third show of the run in Cincinnati.

The collaboration came during Santana’s closing set at Riverbend Music Center, which ended early because of lightning. The Doobie Brothers opened the evening with a 16-song performance heavy on hits, including “Rockin’ Down The Highway,” “Jesus Is Just Alright” and “What A Fool Believes.” A cover of “Amazing Grace” led into “Takin’ It To The Streets” before the band wrapped their set with the beloved “Listen To The Music.”

Carlos Santana and his band took the stage second. Santana played one favorite after another to start their portion of the show with “Soul Sacrifice,” “Jin-go-lo-ba,” “Evil Ways/Do It Again,” “Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen,” “Oye Cómo Va” and “Maria Maria.” Doobie Brothers saxophonist Marc Russo came out one song later for “Everybody’s Everything.”

Russo’s Doobie Brothers bandmates then emerged to join Santana for a cover of “Get Together,” one of the defining songs of the ’60s. Chet Powers wrote the song in 1963 as ‘Let’s Get Together,’ and the Youngbloods later turned it into a 1969 hit.

Santana hadn’t performed “Get Together” since 2022, according to Setlist.FM. The Doobie Brothers remained on stage with Santana to perform The O’Jays’ “I Love Music,” another song missing from Santana setlists for the past four years. Santana’s truncated set moved forward with “She’s Not There” and “Come Together” and ended a short while later with “Smooth.”
