Samantha Fish Shares Smoking ‘I’m Done Runnin’ Single

Samantha Fish recently released a new single, “I’m Done Runnin.” The track is set for Fish’s upcoming album, Paper Doll, arriving April 25 through Rounder Records.

Samantha Fish found time while on the road to track Paper Doll, splitting time between Austin recording facility The Orb and Savannah Studios in Los Angeles.

“I’d never made a record on the road like that,” Fish said. “Even though it was so intense, it felt good to keep up the momentum from the live show. It helped us make an album that’s got a real living, breathing pulse to it.”

Detroit garage-rock legend Bobby Harlow (The Go) produced the lion’s share of Paper Doll with help from his fellow Detroit rocker Mick Collins (The Gories) on one track. The record features Samantha Fish’s touring band: Ron Johnson (bass), Jamie Douglass (drums) and Mickey Finn (keys).

Fish previously shared the Paper Doll single “Sweet Southern Sounds” and now follows with “I’m Done Runnin.”

“It’s about pushing forward even when life knocks you down, because you know what you want,” Fish said of the new track.
