Ryan Adams To Team With Infamous Stringdusters & Nicki Bluhm At Newport Folk Festival

For the past few months Newport Folk Festival organizers have been rolling out the lineup for this year’s installment of one of the world’s most acclaimed music festivals. There hadn’t been many huge surprises but that changed today. Not only has been it been announced singer-songwriter Ryan Adams will perform on the Saturday of Newport Folk ’16, it’s also been revealed he’ll be backed by The Infamous Stringdusters featuring vocalist Nicki Bluhm. Bluhm appeared on the ‘Dusters recent Ladies & Gentlemen LP and toured with the band earlier this year. We can’t wait to see what Ryan, Nicki and The Stringdusters have cooked up for their Newport Folk Festival set.
The 2016 installment of the Newport Folk Festival will take place at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island July 22 – 24. Previously announced performers include Graham Nash, Del & Dawg, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Flight Of The Conchords, Norah Jones, Ray LaMontagne, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Raury, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Father John Misty, The Oh Hellos, Villagers and Joan Shelley, among others. More acts are expected to be announced soon.
