Yesterday, frequent collaborators Ryan Adams, Nicki Bluhm and The Infamous Stringdusters again came together for a set at the Newport Folk Festival in Newport Rhode Island. Full audio of the set has surfaced and can be streamed below.
Adams opened the show by leading the collective through a cover of Slayer’s “South Of Heaven.” Next came the Heartbreaker originals “To Be Young (Is to Be Sad, Is to Be High),” “My Winding Wheel” and “Oh My Sweet Carolina.” The set also included a humorous improvised song dubbed “I’m Frightened And I’m Rabid” as well as “Gimme Something Good” from his 2014 self-titled LP, longtime favorite “Let It Ride” and the set concluding cover of Black Sabbath’s “The Wizard.”
