Rufus Wainwright Releases Gorgeous ‘Heading For Home’ Single Featuring John Legend

Rufus Wainwright released a new single from his upcoming guest-filled covers album, Folkocracy. The latest preview is a cover of Peggy Seeger’s “Heading For Home,” featuring John Legend.
Wainwright’s album presenting his arrangements of folk classics arrives on June 2 via BMG. Wainwright previously shared the single “Down In The Willow Garden” featuring Brand Carlile. Additional guests who appear across the album include David Byrne, Sheryl Crow, Nicole Scherzinger, Chaka Khan, Andrew Bird, ANOHNI, Susanna Hoffs, Van Dyke Parks and Madison Cunningham, among others.

Regarding his collaboration with Legend, Wainwright stated:
“John Legend has arguably one of the most beautiful voices in the world and listening to him singing is a pure joy. I am now one of the few who can say that it can get even better, and that is when you sing with him.
