Rose Ganache, the duo of vocalist/guitarist MeShell Wolf and guitarist James Coburn, released a new single on April 1, 2021, entitled “Isolation.” The track features the Umphrey’s McGee rhythm section of bassist Ryan Stasik and Kris Myers and was co-produced by Rose Ganache and the Disco Biscuits’ Jon “Barber” Gutwillig and Marc Brownstein.

Written by Rose Ganache, “Isolation” was recorded in December 2020 with engineer Thomas Kenney at Fairweather Studio in Charleston, South Carolina. “Isolation” is the first track off of the duo’s upcoming EP that was also co-produced by Brownie and Barber. The six-song EP features additional contributions from Stasik and Myers and is due out in summer 2021.

Rose Ganache approached Lively, an online music lesson and instruction school, seeking consultation regarding the songwriting process and pre-production. In response, Lively worked with Rose Ganache through pre-production and as a result, the up-and-coming act was able to collaborate on “Isolation” with more established musicians in the scene.

The song was mixed by Tip Wyman and Ray Bardini at Wyman Records in Los Angeles and mastered in L.A. by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering. The same team worked on Ledisi’s album, The Wild Card, featuring “Anything For You,” which just won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance.
