Ron Artis II Announces New Album ‘Love Is Love’


Hawaiian musician Ron Artis II confirmed his new solo album, Love Is Love, is due out on September 9. The LP features 12 tracks written, composed and co-produced by Ron and includes a number of special guests.

Artis II sings and plays guitar, piano, organ, bass and drums on Love Is Love. Contributors include his daughter, Ida Marie Artis, as well as Lebo (Dan Lebowitz) on steel guitar, Max Ribner on flugelhorn and trumpet, Vance Voetberg on fiddle, Luis Ocasio on flute and vocals from Saeeda Wright, Devi Schmidt and Alonzo Chadwick. Additionally, Taylor Neist conducted, arranged and orchestrated string parts performed by The Strings Of Life consisting of cellist Heather Blackburn, violinists Adam Lamotte and Jennifer Estrin, viola player Julie Asparro and double bassist Jim Prescott.

Ron enlisted Cameron Webb to record, mix and co-produce Love Is Love. “I wanted to go inside as far as possible to share all the emotions and experiences I’ve been allowed to feel,” Artis II said of the album in a statement.
