Did you really think The Rolling Stones would pass up the opportunity for another mega-payday and to perform in front of their fans? While members of the legendary act have talked about calling it quits, it appears retirement won’t come anytime soon for The Stones, who have just announced their first concert of 2014. The Rolling Stones will play the first show at the redesigned Adelaide Oval in Australia on March 22.

According to an announcement of the show, “More Rolling Stones concerts in Australia, and one in New Zealand, will be announced by Frontier Touring & AEG Live in the next few weeks.” The Stones have also revealed that former member Mick Taylor will join them in Adelaide and we’re hopeful he’ll have a bigger role than he has at the band’s most recent shows.

“It’s great to be invited to Adelaide to open the historic Oval…we’re really looking forward to doing this gig, it will be the first time we’ve been to Adelaide in nearly 20 years, so see you there!” said Mick Jagger in the statement. Mick’s Glimmer Twins cohort Keith Richards added, “Hi everyone down in Adelaide, it’s been a while since we were in your back yard… see you on March 22 when we’ll take over your new stadium and make it our own, look forward to it.”

Tickets go on sale this Monday, November 25.
