The Rolling Stones Announce First Tour Of 2018
Iconic rockers The Rolling Stones embarked on just one tour in 2017 and that run saw them play 14 shows in Europe as part of the No Filter Tour 2017. Apparently Mick Jagger & Co. haven’t had their fill of Europe since the band just revealed the No Filter Tour 2018 including their first dates in the U.K. in five years.
The tour will begin at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on May 17. Next up for The Rolling Stones are performances in the U.K. cities of London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff. From there, The Stones head to Germany for concerts in Berlin and Stuttgart with a visit to Marseille, France thrown in. The tour concludes in Eastern Europe with shows in Prague on July 4 and Warsaw on July 8.
“It’s such a joy to play with this band there’s no stopping us, we’re only just getting started really,” guitarist Keith Richards said in a statement. Mick Jagger added, ‘‘This part of the ‘No Filter’ tour is really special for the Stones. We are looking forward to getting back onstage in the summer and playing to fans in the UK and Ireland. Its always exhilarating going to cities we haven’t played for quite a while and also some new venues for us like Old Trafford & The London Stadium.’’
