Today, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland has debuted a new exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Summer Of Love. Summer Of Love Turns 50 can be viewed by visitors through the end of 2017.

The exhibit features a bevy of rarely seen artifacts. Included within are Jimi Hendrix’s purple velvet jacket and recording console used for his “Summer Of Love” recordings, a guitar played by Ron “Pigpen” McKernan of the Grateful Dead and clothing worn by Michelle Phillips of The Mamas And The Papas. Visitors can also check out a collection of iconic concert posters from The Fillmore, Avalon Ballroom and more as well as original artwork by Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane.
