Robin Pecknold Confirms Fleet Foxes Return

Frontman Robin Pecknold has confirmed the first Fleet Foxes concerts in five years. In addition to the performances, a new album from the group is also expected soon.
Responding to a comment on Instagram that read “Fleet foxes bbk live festival spain!!!!2017!!! I can’t believe it!!! Loveeee” Pecknold wrote “did they announce?” followed by “can’t wait! First stop Guggenheim.” The apparent appearance at the BBK Live Festival slated for next July in Bilbao, Spain would mark the band’s first since 2012. However, in a subsequent Instagram post, Pecknold revealed Fleet Foxes would by “announcing some shows soon” and responded to a request by writing “we’ll play in Vermont.”
In a reply to a comment on an updated photo on the band’s Facebook page, Fleet Foxes replied to a question about a new album with “Alllllmost done.” The group released their debut self-titled album on Sub Pop Records in 2008 and followed it with their most recent LP, 2011’s Helplessness Blues.
