Along with White, the impressive roster of participants joining Starr across the concerts held on January 14 and 15 included Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Brenda Lee, Rodney Crowell, Mickey Guyton, Sarah Jarosz, Jamey Johnson, The War and Treaty and Larkin Poe.
The television special airing this evening will feature Starr playing songs from Look Up, The Beatles favorites and more, like Carl Perkins’ “Matchbox.” As noted by Billboard, The Beatles recorded a version of “Matchbox” for their 1964 Long Tall Sally EP.
