Rick Wakeman Covers David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’

Renowned musician Rick Wakeman recorded an appearance as part of the BBC Radio 2 Piano Sessions series. The Yes keyboardist performed a solo piano tribute to the late David Bowie.
In the officially posted video Wakeman can be seen performing Bowie’s classic “Space Oddity” live in Radio 2’s Piano Room. The track opened Bowie’s self-titled sophomore album, which was issued in 1969 and featured Wakeman – a session musician at the time – performing on Mellotron.
