Rich Robinson & Luther Dickinson Team Up In Boulder

Guitarists Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes and Luther Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars played a pair of shows together in Colorado last weekend. The concerts featured each of the former Black Crowes band mates performing solo and sharing the stage together as well.

Saturday’s concert at The Fox Theatre in Boulder followed Friday’s performance in Denver at the Bluebird. Luther’s solo set began the night and included a rendition of NMAS “Up Over Yonder.” Robinson then took the stage for a set that started heavily focused on his solo material including cuts from his just issued album Flux.

Dickinson then reemerged and the two teamed up on a number of Crowes’ favorites such as “Whoa Mule,” “Shine Along,” “Kept My Soul” and “Nonfiction.” The two guitarists shared the stage for joint encore made up of a cover of Bob Dylan’s “When I Paint My Masterpiece” and The Rolling Stones’ “Jigsaw Puzzle.” Video capturing highlights of Saturday’s show posted by Billy Dias can be viewed below:
