Gov’t Mule continued their current tour on Thursday night with a show at The Palace Theatre in Albany, New York. Harmonica player Hook Herrerra once again joined the band on several songs, as did guitarist Reeves Gabrels of Tin Machine.

Having joined Mule at each stop of their Spring Tour so far, Herrera first came onstage during Thursday’s second set opening “Catfish Blues.” He stuck around to add harp to “Bad Little Doggie” before leaving Warren Haynes, Matt Abts, Danny Louis and Jorgen Carlsson to finish out the set.

Gabrels, who was a member of Tin Machine and The Cure and a frequent David Bowie collaborator in the ‘80s and ’90s, emerged at the start of the encore to sit-in on covers of T. Rex’s “Children Of The Revolution” and Tom Petty’s “You Don’t Know How It Feels,” which also featured Herrera. The musicians then exited The Palace stage, with Mule and their guests returning to treat the audience to a “Statesboro Blues” second encore.
