This Friday, bassist Reed Mathis will front a group of his musical friends to dig into the music of legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon. Bone Diggers: An All-Star Exploration Of The Music Of Paul Simon will take place at The Chapel in San Francisco on September 15.
The bassist will lead a band that features his old Tea Leaf Green band mate Trevor Garrod and current Electric Beethoven mate Todd Stoops on keyboards, TLG’s Scott Rager on drums and ALO’s Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz and EB’s Clay Welch on guitars. A press release mentions “additional surprises and special guests” and notes “Paul Simon doesn’t jam, but these guys do.”
