Red Hot Organization To Release ‘Day Of The Dead’ Limited Edition ‘Terrapin Station (Suite)’ Vinyl EP

A set of tracks from the massive Day Of The Dead Grateful Dead tribute box set benefiting the Red Hot Organization will be issued as special limited edition 12-inch vinyl release. Coming out August 2 via the 4AD record label, the four-song EP that will also support the HIV/AIDS awareness charity includes the lengthy all-star recording of “Terrapin Station (Suite).”

Created by an ensemble of Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen and Christopher Bear, The National with Josh Kaufman, Conrad Doucette, Sō Percussion and Brooklyn Youth Chorus, the complete “Terrapin Station (Suite)” takes up the entire A-side of the record. The B-side includes Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy performing “If I Had the World to Give,” TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe with Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo & Friends take on “Playing in the Band” and The National’s Bryce Dessner’s original composition inspired by “Althea” entitled “Garcia Counterpoint.”
