California rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers made the most of their visit to the Crescent City on Tuesday night. The Chili Peppers’ show at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans last night saw them joined by a bevy of the city’s musicians for a wild “Give It Away” as part of the encore.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers welcomed famed bassist George Porter Jr., keyboardist Ivan Neville and members of opening act Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue as well as former tour mates Rebirth Brass Band to aid them on “Give It Away.” Both Porter Jr. and Neville sat-in with the Chili Peppers during the band’s set at Jazz Fest last year as did Zigaboo Modeliste.
