Red Hot Chili Peppers Dust Off ‘Fortune Faded’ After 12 Years

Red Hot Chili Peppers recently kicked off an 11-date tour through Australia and New Zealand. On Tuesday night the California funk-rock act dug into their catalog during their performance at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena delivering “Fortune Faded” for the first time in nearly a dozen years.
The bust out came around the midway point of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band’s 15-song main set. “Fortune Faded” was issued as a single back in 2003 to coincide with the release of Greatest Hits, their second compilation record that collected songs from their Warner Brothers output between 1991 – 2002. The Rick Rubin-produced track was last played by RHCP on June 27, 2007, at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany. Watch fan-captured video of “Fortune Faded” by RHCPtv1 below:
