California rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers played the first of three The Getaway Tour concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday night featuring support from Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. The Chili Peppers delivered a 17-song performance heavy on material from the recently released The Getaway including the title track, “Dark Necessities,” “Go Robot,” “Goodbye Angels” and “Sick Love.” Anthony Kiedis & Co. also threw in plenty of career-spanning hits such as “Dani California,” “The Zephyr Song,” “Californication,” “Suck My Kiss,” “Under The Bridge” and “Give It Away” as well as a cover of The Stooges’ “Search & Destroy.” Photographer Adam McCullough was on hand at The Garden on Wednesday, check out his photos :
