Radiohead Busts Out ‘Let Down’ At Madison Square Garden
Last night Radiohead opened a two-show stand at Madison Square Garden in New York City. One of the few non-festival U.S. appearances the band has planned this year featured the first performance of “Let Down” since 2006.
Radiohead opened the show with the same five song sequence that begins their recently issued new album A Moon Shaped Pool. A total of eight songs of the new LP were performed last night, alongside such favorites as “The National Anthem,” Everything in Its Right Place,” “Myxomatosis” and the first “15 Step” of their current tour.
The encore began with another tour debut, the first rendition of the OK Computer rarity “Let Down” since June 2006. The show continued with the A Moon Shaped Pool track “Present Tense” followed by “Paranoid Android,” and In Rainbows cuts “Nude” and “Bodysnatchers.” The band left the stage and returned for a final finale of “Bloom” and “Street Spirit (Fade Out).”
