Radiohead drummer Philip Selway is to issue his third solo album, Strange Dance, on February 24. While speaking to SPIN about the pending release, he shared a bit of information regarding Radiohead’s plans for 2023.

The interview touched on a variety of topics, including the possibility of a Hail to the Thief expanded reissue to mark 20th anniversary of the Radiohead album released in 2003. Here’s the exchange Selway had with Ryan Reed in which he revealed plans to “get together” soon with his Radiohead bandmates:

SPIN: Are there any rumblings of a Hail to the Thief box set, given the 20th anniversary in 2023? There are so many incredible B-sides for that album. It seems like the ideal choice for one of these enormous reissues.

Selway: Ummm… We’ve been very focused on the whole Kid A/Amnesiac thing, and I think that’s coming to its natural conclusion, going back through the reissue and [creating] the game scenario around that. We’re going to get together at the start of [2023], and I’m sure we’re going to start looking at other ideas for what comes next. Hail to the Thief — it’s a long time since that record, isn’t it?

Radiohead’s last studio album was 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool. The band members have participated in a number of side and solo projects since its release, including frontman Thom Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood’s recent collaboration with Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, The Smile, that released a debut album and toured last year.

Though nearly seven years have passed since their last studio album and five years since Radiohead last toured, according to Selway, fans can be assured the band – whose lineup includes guitarist Ed O’Brien and bassist Colin Greenwood – has not broken up.

“As far as I know, we’re still a band,” Selway told SPIN. “If anybody knows any different, I’d be very interested.”
