Rachael Price Covers ‘The Very Thought Of You’ With Cory Wong & Jon Batiste

Rachael Price appeared on Saturday’s episode of the public radio program Live From Here, which was guest-hosted by Jon Batiste. The Lake Street Dive frontwoman teamed with Late Show bandleader on a cover of the jazz standard “The Very Thought Of You.”

Price and Batiste were backed by guitarist Cory Wong and bassist Mike Elizondo for their take on the song previously recorded by the likes of Billy Holiday, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. Batiste also interpreted the tune for his 2018 LP Hollywood Africans.
