Dragon Smoke :: 11.29.16 :: The Mint :: Los Angeles

Super group Dragon Smoke played their first show of the year outside of New Orleans on Tuesday night at The Mint in Los Angeles. Guitarist Eric Lindell, keyboardist Ivan Neville, drummer Stanton Moore and bassist Rob Mercurio were in town to kick off a rare West Coast jaunt. The band played for about two hours spanning a lengthy set and two encores. Considering Moore and Mercurio of Galactic last performed in the area at the Hollywood Bowl, it was a fantastic opportunity to see them in an intimate room. Dragon Smoke presented an interesting mix of songs including “Earthquake,” “Let A Woman Be A Woman,” “Lay Down Sally,” “Big Chief” and more.
