British rockers Pulp will embark on their first tour of North America since 2012 this fall. The recently reunited band confirmed shows in five cities yesterday and added more nights in three of the locales today “due to phenomenal demand.”
Frontman Jarvis Cocker and his bandmates launched the This Is What We Do For An Encore reunion tour last year after a decade apart with shows around the world but not in the U.S. and Canada. “So, the encore continues,” Cocker stated in a press release. “The songs came back to life and they want to be heard. They need to be heard. Come out and have some fun with us. You deserve it. Yes. You do.”

Pulp kicks off the North American leg on September 8 with a concert at Chicago’s Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom. Cocker and company then perform at HISTORY in Toronto on September 10 and 11. Next, Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre hosts the band on September 13 and 14.
The U.S. and Canada portion of Pulp’s This Is What We Do For An Encore tour is currently scheduled to end in California. Pulp will play the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on September 16 before wrapping the run at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium on September 18 and 19.
Tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. local time. Purchase Pulp tickets via Ticketmaster.com. The band begins a series of European shows on May 24 in Amsterdam.
