Public Enemy was the musical guest on Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, which is broadcasting from Brooklyn this week. The legendary hip-hop group delivered a medley including a song off their new album, Black Sky Over The Projects: Apartment 2025, along with classics from their catalog.

Black Sky Over The Projects: Apartment 2025 was surprise-released on Public Enemy’s Bandcamp on June 27. The record was offered on a “pay-what-you-want” basis for the first 72 hours.

“This album is a give back to all of our fans with gratitude and appreciation. We see and appreciate you,” Public Enemy’s Chuck D told NME.

“We’re bringing our beats to the world on this tour and with this album,” PE’s Flavor Flav stated. “So if you can’t get yourself to the stadiums and the festivals, then these new tracks are for you to get down to at home.”

Performing from their native New York, the timely Jimmy Kimmel Live performance in Brooklyn saw Flavor Flav offering Kimmel the group’s support after his show was taken off the air for a week.

“Hey yo, Jimmy Kimmel, we are Public Enemy and I just want you to know that Public Enemy always got your back,” the famed hype man said to kick off the performance.

PE performed Black Sky Over The Projects: Apartment 2025 cut, “The Hits Just Keep On Comin,” sandwiched between classics “Don’t Believe The Hype” and “Fight The Power.” Watch below:
