Pro-Shot Videos: Lukas Nelson Performs Solo Acoustic For The Current

Lukas Nelson recently performed a session for Minnesota Public Radio’s Radio Heartland service that was shared by The Current. Nelson went unplugged and without his band for a pair of songs off 2017’s Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real.

Up first is Lukas Nelson’s gorgeous performance of “Just Outside Of Austin.” The studio version featured on Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real includes guest appearances from Lukas’ famed father Willie Nelson and his Aunt Bobbi. Lukas provides a tender vocal delivery for his solo take at the Radio Heartland studios.

In the second video, Lukas Nelson digs into “Forget About Georgia.” Lukas told NPR the song is a true love story about a girl he met in San Franciso named Georgia. “It was a heartbreak and I learned a lot and I grew a lot from this relationship.”
