Jam titans Widespread Panic head back to Riviera Maya, Mexico in January for the 2019 installment of their Panic En La Playa destination event. Organizers Cloud 9 Adventures shared professionally-shot video featuring a highlight from this year’s Panic En La Playa.

Widespread Panic played their first of four shows at Panic En La Playa Siete on January 26. The band opened the second set with a memorable version of “Airplane.” Panic expertly jammed on the Ain’t Life Grand classic for nearly 15 minutes. Guitarist Jimmy Herring let loose with one impressive run of notes after another as WSP explored vast terrain over the course of the “Airplane” jam. Herring threw in a tease of Curtis Mayfield’s “Pusherman” and his mates quickly followed along before jumping back into a dark and dirty jam space.
