Pro-Shot Video: Widespread Panic Links ‘The Take Out’ & ‘Porch Song’ In Mississippi

Georgia rockers Widespread Panic began this year’s Summer Tour on Friday but are continuing to roll out professionally-shot footage from their Spring Tour. The latest clip features a pair of old school classics that are usually linked together which were performed back in April.
In the video below, which was filmed on April 12 in Jackson, Mississippi we see Widespread Panic work through the instrumental “The Take Out” before lighting into “Porch Song.” Both “The Take Out” and “Porch Song” date back to the mid ’80s just after the band was formed in Athens. “The Take Out” ends on a note that gives the perfect entry point for “Porch Song” to begin.
