Last Friday, Umphrey’s McGee returned to the familiar confines of The Fox Theater in Oakland as part of their recently completed West Coast Tour. The band has just unveiled official footage of the original “Remind Me” from early in the evening’s first set at The Fox.
Umphrey’s opened this year’s show in Oakland with the intro “Le Blitz.” The sextet then performed the version of “Remind Me” found in the video below. “Remind Me” appears on the band’s latest studio album, it’s not us. Umphrey’s visit to Oakland on March 23 was highlighted by a pair of guest appearances from Spinal Tap’s Viv Savage, keyboardist David Kaffinetti. Not only did “Viv” sit-in on UM’s first cover of “Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight” since 2014, David Kaff also returned for a portion of “Resolution” later in the night.
