Pro-Shot Video: Umphrey’s McGee Performs ‘The Triple Wide’ At Red Rocks

Umphrey’s McGee kicked off three nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre back on June 30. The band has again teamed with TourGigs to release pro-shot video of a highlight of their first set from this year’s run in Morrison, Colorado.
The first UM set at Red Rocks started with a non-stop sequence of “Goonville” > “Prowler” > “Upward.” Following a improvisation-filled “Higgins,” the six-piece moved through “Make It Right” and “Phil’s Farm” before landing on the groove-driven instrumental “The Triple Wide.” The 10-minute rendition saw back-and-forth soloing between guitarists guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger and keyboardist Joel Cummins, while the rhythm section of drummer Kris Myers, bassist Ryan Stasik and percussionist Andy Farag held down an adventurously dance-able beat.
