As reported, Umphrey’s McGee held three shows last weekend at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver to ring in 2018. Opening night featured an encore of a well-known Pink Floyd song that was accompanied by lighting director Jefferson Waful’s use of lasers. Officially captured footage of the visually impressive December 29 finale has been shared by UM.
Earlier in the show, North Mississippi Allstars drummer Cody Dickinson sat-in with Umprhrey’s on “Susanah,” which was recently performed at the annual holiday concert thrown by guitarists Jake Cinninger and Brendan Bayliss, and recorded by the latter’s project 30db. Bayliss led the encore rendition of “Comfortably Numb” while Waful lit up the room and Cinninger during his solo.
