Pro-Shot Video: Turkuaz Performs ‘Percy Thrills, The Moondog’ In New Haven

Powerhouse funk act Turkuaz are gearing up for a summer filled with festival appearances at High Sierra, Levitate, Lockn’ and more. The nine-piece dug into their archives to share professionally-shot footage of the hard-hitting live staple “Percy Thrills, The Moondog” from the band’s December 30, 2017 show at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut.

The band came up with the basis of “Percy Thrills, The Moondog” during a live improv set and went on develop “Percy Thrills, The Moondog” in the studio while recording their most recent album Digitonium. “Percy Thrills” has gone on to become a frequent highlight of the group’s live sets. Turkuaz’s visit to New Haven came at the tail end of a momentous year for the Brooklyn-based act that saw them make their debuts at Bonnaroo, Red Rocks and more.
