Pro-Shot Video: Tortoise Plays ‘Ox Duke’ In Chicago

Chicago-based post-rock outfit Tortoise released a new studio album The Catastrophist via Thrill Jockey Records earlier this year. Today, the band has shared pro-shot video footage of a recent live performance of the album track “Ox Duke.”

Multi-instrumentalists Dan Bitney, John Herndon, Doug McCombs, John McEntire and Jeff Parker performed a pair of in-the-round hometown album release shows at Thalia Hall on January 23. The intimate concert experience was professionally filmed and the band’s performance of “Ox Duke” has been officially released, watch it here:

On Wednesday, Tortoise will resume their tour in support in of the new LP with a run of shows in the western half of the country, beginning with an appearance at Neurolux Lounge in Boise, Idaho.
