Colorado jam act The String Cheese Incident closed out the first day of last month’s SweetWater 420 Fest at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta with a pair of sets. The band was joined by 14-year-old guitarist Brandon “Taz” Niederauer and Kendall Lentz on percussion for “Close Your Eyes” to open the second set back on April 20. Recently, SCI shared official video of the performance.

Niederauer not only played with his own band at the SweetWater 420 Fest, but he made a number of guest appearances throughout the weekend. The youngster served up a fierce solo during the Kyle Hollingsworth-led and sung “Close Your Eyes” before engaging in a duel with mandolin wiz Michael Kang. Lentz, the drummer in Brandon’s band, joined Jason Hann in providing a percussive base on the tune. Both Niederauer and Lentz would return to help Cheese close out the evening with an “I Saw The Light” encore in honor of the late Col. Bruce Hampton.
