Last weekend The String Cheese Incident held court at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado for a three-show run. The band welcomed at least one guest each night, played most of their recent Sound Lab singles and fit in a nice selection of classic material. SCI shared pro-shot video featuring one of the old-school numbers they performed at Sunday’s finale.
“100 Year Flood” is a rare treat for The String Cheese Incident fans. The band had only played the song eight times since 2007 coming into the Red Rocks run. So it’s no surprise the year’s first “100 Year Flood” garnered a huge reaction from the capacity crowd on Sunday night. Cheese opened their final set of the run with “Vertigo,” one of the latest additions to their repertoire, and then jammed “Round The Wheel” into “100 Year Flood.” The resulting version featured a bliss-filled jam led at parts by Michael Kang and Bill Nershi.
