The 17th annual Northwest String Summit continued on Friday at the beautiful environs of Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon. JamGrass.TV has been providing a free live webcast of select sets from String Summit and just rolled out a highlight from Railroad Earth‘s Main Stage performance on Friday afternoon.

Railroad Earth opened their second set of the festival with the beloved “Bird In A House.” The band then tackled bassist Andrew Altman’s “When The Sun Gets In Your Blood” ahead of a “Like A Buddha” > “Grandfather Mountain” pairing. Next, frontman Todd Sheaffer led RRE on “Grandfather Mountain” which gave way to a sequence of “Dance Around Molly” > “Dandelion Wine.”

Saturday’s set rolled on with “The Forecast” before Railroad Earth dipped into their 2017 EP Captain Nowhere for “Addin’ My Voice.” Oldie “Where Songs Begin” was followed by John Skehan’s “The Berkeley Flash” and the title track for “Captain Nowhere” to end the RRE Friday String Summit set.
