Pro-Shot Video: Phish Shares Adventurous ‘Down With Disease’ From Camden
By Scott Bernstein Aug 8, 2018 • 1:50 pm PDT
Phish returned to Camden, New Jersey’s BB&T Pavilion on Tuesday night for the first time since 2011. The foursome opened the second set with an action-packed, 24-minute version of “Down With Disease.” Pro-shot, 4K video of the “Camden Disease” is the latest addition to the group’s YouTube page.
Last night’s “Down With Disease” saw the band cover plenty of ground as they moved from arena rock to funk to psychedelic-tinged jam spaces. The monster version featured a handful of key changes and varied in tempo throughout. Guitarist Trey Anastasio unleashed a Jim Hendrix-esque barrage of riffs around the 14-minute mark, as he led the band to a powerful peak. Phish followed the climax with nearly ten additional minutes of adventurous jamming.
