Pro-Shot Video: The Mountain Goats Full Performance On KEXP

Earlier this year The Mountain Goats issued their latest studio album Goths. While touring in support of their 16th LP, the band stopped by Seattle-based independent radio station KEXP to perform a pair of songs off the record, along with two other songs from their catalog.
The June 6 session was hosted by Cheryl Waters who also conducted interviews between the song performances. Frontman John Darnielle, drummer Jon Wurster and multi-instrumentalist Matt Douglas and bassist Peter Hughes opened with their 2015 single “Blood Capsules.” They then offered takes on the Goths tracks “Andrew Eldrich Is Moving Back To Leeds” and “Shelved.” The session concluded with a rendition of “San Bernardino” from their 2008 LP Heratic Pride.
