Pro-Shot Video: Leftover Salmon Performs ‘Ask The Fish’ In Honor Of Fox Theatre’s 25th Anniversary

This past Monday marked the 25th anniversary of the beloved Fox Theatre in Boulder. Colorado’s own Leftover Salmon were tapped to perform at the venue and the band wound up playing the songs from their 1995 live album Ask The Fish in sequence.

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper issued a proclamation in honor of the Fox’s 25th anniversary, which was read to the capacity crowd at the start of the show. LoS then went on to play each and every song from Ask The Fish, an LP recorded at the Fox on October 28 and 29, 1994. The band was joined by a number of guests throughout the evening including drummer Michael Wooten, mandolinist Silas Herman and Dave Emmitt on harmonica. Salmon’s second set was chock full of fan favorites and came to a close with “Pasta On The Mountain” followed by their mashup of “Rocky Top” and “Hotel California.” Leftover Salmon then said farewell with a “Good Night To Boogie” encore.

Monday’s show was webcast live by and video of the show has been shared as well as a crispy audience recording.
