Pro-Shot Video: Kamasi Washington Performs ‘Truth’ At Coachella 2018

Yesterday marked the end of the second and final weekend of the 2018 installment of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Saxophonist Kamasi Washington led performances by his large ensemble on April 15 and again yesterday, April 23. Professionally-shot video footage of Washington leading his band from Coachella’s first weekend at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California is now available for viewing.

Washington will release his sophomore album Heaven And Earth on June 22. The album is the follow-up to Washington’s standout 2015 debut triple LP The Epic. Last year Washington issued the six-track EP Harmony Of Difference, which was made up of five separate movements, culminating with the combining of the movements into a single piece, “Truth.”
