Pro-Shot Video: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Performs ‘Ophelia’ & ‘Althea’ At Higher Ground

While Joe Russo’s Almost Dead focuses on honoring the music of the Grateful Dead, they’ve also been known to throw in covers by other acts such as The Band. The latest installment of the group’s Rad Tracks Thursday series features professionally-shot video of JRAD’s version of “Ophelia” as well as their cover of “Althea” from February 14 at Higher Ground in Burlington.

Guitarist Scott Metzger does a fantastic job with the vocals on The Band cover, while the band’s other guitarist Tom Hamilton delivers passionate vocals on “Althea.” JRAD sticks to the script for “Althea,” which features blazing solos from both Hamilton and Metzger.
