Pro-Shot Video: Father John Misty Performs Live In Minneapolis

Father John Misty performed in Minneapolis at the Rock The Garden 2018 concert event at Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Local radio station and event presenter and The Current posted official video footage of several songs played during the evening’s headlining set.

Frontman Josh Tillman led his group through takes on “Nancy From Now On,” “Chateau Lobby #4 (in C for Two Virgins)” and “Total Entertainment Forever” offering a sequential sampling of the first three Father John Misty records Fear Fun, I Love You, Honeybear and Pure Comedy. “Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest of Them All” was the first song from 2018’s God’s Favorite Customer to make the Rock The Garden setlist.

Fellow God’s Favorite Customer track “Mr. Tillman” is among the additional highlights presented in the pro-shot video. Other selections include “Only Son Of The Ladiesman,” “Bored In The USA,” “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings” and the set closer “I Love You, Honeybear.”
